Adirondack Chair - Recycled Plastic

These Adirondack Chairs are made from 100% recycled plastic. Each chair uses the equivalent of 579 recycled milk cartons which diverts thousands of kilos of plastic from landfill and the ocean. This high density plastic (HDPE) is grinded up and blended together with pigments, then melted down and the mixture is poured into moulds creating each part of the chair. Each part is then screwed together to create a solidly built chair. This 'poly lumber' is superior to many out there due to the plastic being used right through every part. In other words if you cut through the middle it looks exactly the same, no changes in colour or texture. Cheaper chairs usually have a 'honeycombed' core so the parts are not solid and the colour may only be applied to surfaces.

We have stuck to our Canadian roots with these chairs too, they are also made in Ontario, Canada. They are from CR Plastic Products which has been in business since 1994 and offers the following benefits:

~ 25 year limited warranty - guaranteed never to rot, crack or split

~ Superior fit and finish - contoured slats and custom moulded arms

~ Low maintenance - no painting or staining, just wash down with soapy water

~ Weatherproof - leave it out all year

As these are Adirondack Chairs rather than Muskoka Chairs they have a slightly different sitting position/feel to our wooden chairs.
Some assembly is required and a screwdriver and grips will be needed. All sections are assembled and it just takes around 10mins to complete.
